"Hi, Just a
note, now we're home, to send you a few photos of the gorgeous
Hilde wrap!
I fell in love
with the soft flowing material of the silk Hilde so decided to
wear that rather than the Madeleine. Having tried both the white
semi-sheers and the sandy gold ones which you made for me I
decided I would like a splash of colour of the gold but felt
that the layer of gold under the simplicity and purity of the
white wrap detracted from its beauty.
So ... I decided
not to wear the gold top at all and adapted the gold slip to be
rather more like a waist sash which fell in a soft ruffle down
the side of the wrap. I put some white silk lining under the
skirt and top instead.
I also loved what
another of your brides did to her sarong which was to put tiny
crystals at the end of each of the petals of all the flowers. I
used Swarovski golden shadow ones which sparkled beautifully in
the sun and also coordinated with the crystal bouquet which I
made myself (a bit of an experiment!!!) and my jewelry (which I
also made myself having seen your designs).
Our wedding was a
very small, informal, intimate event with just the 2 of us and
our 3 children and took place in the town hall gardens at Peyia
in Cyprus. It was a very simple ceremony and, although not a
beach wedding, the wrap suited the occasion perfectly. I didn't
want anything fussy and the wrap was informal but beautifully
feminine. We had some photographs taken by the sea afterwards
where the wrap looked just beautiful in the sun and the breeze.
The photos on
your website of other brides wearing their wraps gave me ideas
on how to wear mine and make it individual to me and our own
wedding. Every wedding is unique and every bride wants to feel
that their dress is special. Thank you for helping me to make
mine just that!!
Please feel free
to use any of the attached photos on your website.
Again, many thanks
Alison and Tim
